The surgery is called phono-microlaryngeal surgery. It is done under a general anaesthesia. The operation usually takes only 30 minutes and you will be home on the same day. You will be required to rest your voice for a few days only. Most singers will be able to return to singing within only a few weeks of removing the nodules. Complications from the surgery is rare.
